tbh I dont know which acadamy you go to but the Zenos courses are very computer based. Unfortunatly there is a lack of hardware praticals which I do not agree with e.g. opening a computer. Fortunatly I have had a lot of experience with computers but feel sorry for the people that have not.
your saying dont go to zenos yet the qualifications (a+ n+ and mcdst) do mean a lot! they are a good starting ladder in to further education or employment within the industry and recommend that you take a 2 year Btec national diploma course for IT practitionors (found at colleges and worth alot!) if you wish to gain more experience (I did this course before Zenos). I would still recomend this course for FOCUSED people who wish to go in to the IT industry to give you an idea of how much it's worth! ADITP = 40 ucas points for distinctions 2yr BTEC National = 360 ucas points for distinctions |

I seriously do not know what you are talking about, this course is ONLY focused on computers 0.o its not always about technical stuff you know, health and safety play a role, hence why it gets taught.
Same as Monty, ive got everything as well =) got the Microsoft Award as well! Without Zenos, my motivation to do anything in life would have been still sunk in a cave, Zenos has given me the understanding and the motivation to excel! I am greatly delighted by their help, if you put your mind and soul into what they have to offer, then you will have no problem whatsoever =). As Zenos helps you to start your career in IT, so whats bad about that? just 5 months of your time =p |

Monty and Omega i dunno what you guys are talking about, It's all good learning the health and safety and how to write reports and how to talk to clients on the phone (if you like that stuff), but the simple matter is, if they don't teach you any of the technical stuff then there's no point learning how to talk to clients and shit as you won't be able to help any clients because you don't know anything about IT. The technical side of IT should come first as without that knowledge there's no point learning the rest.
Most people have the knowledge of how to use a phone and what is the best thing to do in a situation as when you grow up you learn that shit through everyday life, but to learn IT you have actually got to be taught it or teach yourself. |

I think Underqualified (lol @ name) has got a point. What good are you in an IT role if you don' know IT, the IT should come first and the other stuff second. And from my opinion i found that Zenos was not giving the technical IT side as much attention as what is needed.
